Everybody looks forward to having a well-balanced life, a great start to the day and return home with a smile on our faces with loads of positive energy in store, don’t we?

On the contrary, if we are to cite reports and statistics, 80%of workers feel stressed out at work, and only half of the entire count has admitted of asking for help in learning how to cope with stress at work. And the most alarming part of the scenario is the fact that 25%of respondents consider their job as the primary stress causing factor in their lives.

Now, the question is, why are we not doing anything about it? Why can’t we fight off stress and negativities and have a great start to the workday? So, before you wrap up for the day, consider reading through the suggestions and follow the same. Who knows, this might just help you cope with mental exhaustion and stress in a better way.

1. Start your day with a positive note

Here goes my personal mantra to success and well-being … “in every negative bits and piece, there’s something positive, only if you have the vision to perceive the same”. To simplify, let me tell you that we all wish to stay happy and seldom end up being the same most of the times.
Probable reasons? Negativity, depression, anxiety, stress, so on and so forth. Well, if you are to take my suggestion, consider keeping all negativities away, and start your day on a positive note, and a smile on your face. Fight off stress and let it not get the better of you.

2. Take a close look at your to-do list before stepping out

Before you step out of the house and head to the office, make sure you are checking the to-do list and keeping track of all pending tasks and urgent assignments.
It would eventually help you to keep things organized at work. This, as a result, will also make things much favorable for you, as far as starting the day with a fair idea and insights on the day’s job role is concerned.

3. Take short breaks

“All work and no play make Jack a dull boy.”While at work, consider taking short breaks in between. It would help you to break the monotony, and add a bit of rejuvenation to your day, making the workplace more sustainable and interesting than ever.
Posted in health.com, a new study has suggested that workers taking short, frequent breaks during work have more energy and lesser pains while they resume working. Thus, the next time you are at work,do not skip those short coffee breaks. At times you need to exercise your mind for enhanced productivity.

4. Block all sites which you think might cause distractions

Among the 2 Million monthly active Facebook users worldwide, I won’t be surprised to know that you are one of them. So am I! But the question is “can’t we refrain from using social media sites, online shopping portals and the likes while at work?”
The reason is clear and simple. It would only create distractions and might just keep you away from work for a longer period of time. And you would probably complain about overworking because a decent chunk of hours was spent on social media and window shopping while there were pending works to complete. Makessense? I don’t think so!

5. Reach office on time; punctuality is the key

This is yet another critical point to be considered if you wish to have a favorable start to the day at work and end it with a happy note. Every time you’re reaching late in reaching your office, you’re simply extending the working hours for yourself.
And every time you’re leaving office late, the setback is simply adding up to your list of frustration and negativity. Thus, the idea is to eliminate such risks right from the very beginning, and start your day at work on time. That’s how you succeed at work.

6. Stop running away from challenges; face them with confidence instead

The biggest mistake we tend to commit most of the times is developing the habit of keeping complicated work on hold. We think we can work on it “tomorrow”, and the day never comes.
I would suggest my readers face all challenging office works with confidence without keeping them on hold. Finishing the toughest assignment help in boosting confidence and it might just give you a good head start over others. Thus, it’s a win-win situation for you.

7. Learn from your colleagues when in confusion; there’s no harm in asking

There’s no point hesitating to seek help from your colleagues in case there is some confusion. There are people who are of the opinion that asking for help from co-workers is a sign of incapability and weakness. But that is really not the issue; rather, the very idea of co-working in an organization is to share ideas with others, help others and seek help in times of trouble and confusion. That’s how a progressive career is built and the work-life balance is maintained. On the contrary, if you decide to stay grumpy, refrain from interacting with others, then you will never know what technical mistakes are being committed by you in the job, leaving you withlesser scopes for you to grow and have a balanced start to your work day with a happy end to it.

8. Stop multitasking and do yourself a favor

According to a study, it has been found that people involved in frequent multi-tasking activities have reductions in the grey matter. If we are to cite a 2016 study, it has been seen that people involved in chronic media multitasking havedeveloped weakness, both in terms of long-term memory and working memory.
So, I would suggest my fellow readers take note of this point and consider refraining yourself from attempting too many tasks, all at once. Chances are that you would end up messing things up at work and eventually give rise to further complications. As a result, your workplace productivity might be at stake.

9. Have your lunch on time; skipping responsibility is no way an option

Many office goers believe in the misconception that we could be more productive and focused on work by skipping a timely lunch. Reportedly, a 2012 workplace study has found only 1 in 5 employees take lunch breaks in its actual sense. And we all know that skipping a timely lunch is bad for our body, for our mind and of course for the workplace.

Additionally, it would only make things all the more difficult for you to stay active, focused, and productive at work. We cannot expect to end work days on a happy note without taking care of our health, a sound body and mind.

In a world of strict competition, it is somewhat sad to realize that people end up being anxious, unhappy and overstuffed with workplace stringencies. Its high time things should change. All it takes to enjoy a happy day at work and return home with a happy face is a vision and zeal to make things perfect. Life is never an easy journey; it’s our attitude towards it that matters.
